Write and submit articles for Yunus

Any (freelance) journalist, theologian or academic is certainly invited to write for Yunus.

Which articles are accepted?
Of course the content of the article or interview should be related to the field of religious news Yunus tries to cover. This means: News worthy articles, interesting interviews, well considered opinions and argumented analysis that are of relevance to contemporary debates and issues about religious matters between East and West .

Can commercial articles be submitted?
Yes they can. News worthy articles and interviews can be submitted in order to be sold on this website. The author him or herself determines what the price will be yunusnews.com asks for the article. The author gets the payments of the individual sales of the article (this means the sales that give reprint and republish rights to the one who buys the article). Yunus takes a 10% commission for the administrative costs.

How to submit?
The following should be properly indicated:
* Which type of article it is: News Article, Interview, Analyis, Opinion.
* Whether your submission is meant as a free article or a commercial one.
* If it is a commercial article: indicate the price it should be sold for on Yunus.

The submissions should be:
* Preferably in .rtf or .odt format. Pdf is not allowed and .doc is to be avoided if possible. Yunus makes its own pdf's of the articles.
* Accompanied by a CV or a certain document containing the authors background if it is his or her first submission.
* Submitted by emailing them to yunusnews@gmail.com.

What happens after submission?
* The article is reviewed by the editor of Yunus.
* Articles are published upon positive review.
* If the review is negative the author is contacted and given a proper reason.
* In case of a commercial articles the author is also contacted for clear agreements and invoicing.
